The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art on the campus of State Fair Community College will present a free concert Thursday, July 25 as part of the Summer Nights Series.

The concert features the Kay Brothers and Burney Sisters.

Daum Museum director, Thomas Piché, says both groups are headquartered in Columbia, MO and well known throughout the state. Piché noted the groups are separate but often perform together.

Piché indicated the Burney Sisters are possibly Missouri's youngest concert stars, emphasizing that 14-year old Olivia and 11-year old Emma Burney sing & play all their own material. The sisters' music is described as indie-folk pop.

According to the Daum's website, the Kay Brothers salute the stompgrass music traditions of the Ozarks.

Piché said the brothers' music "combines the fiddle music of the Ozarks with the blues, that made its way across the Mississippi in the 19th Century."

The show begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Stauffacher Theatre.

The concert is free and open to the public.
