Love Sloppy Joes? Who Can Make The Best? Let’s Find Out!

Growing up in my household, there were always certain foods that my mother would prepare that myself and my sister would always eat.  Homemade pizza, grilled cheese and tomato soup, and a personal favorite, Sloppy Joes.  Such a simple item to make, but somehow it just tasted a little bit better when made by my mom.  I mean who didn't remember this commercial as a kid.

Well if you enjoy this simple comfort food, there is an event coming that will take place at Craft Beer Cellars in Sedalia and is hosted by NoBro Arts Events. You can check out their Facebook page HERE.  We can see who has the best tasting sloppy joes around.  For me, the spicier, the better!

Perhaps you can channel your inner lunch lady and create your best tasting Sloppy Joe! I never asked my mother what she did to make hers taste so good.  But that crockpot or skillet on the stove always seemed to be full of flavor.  For me, I tend to add some tabasco and Worcestershire sauce. probably some chopped onions.  Hopefully the weather will be pleasant and you can sample the entrants and vote on your favorite.  You can click HERE for more info on the event.
