A Lincoln man was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred just after 6 p.m. Tuesday evening in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2010 Chrysler, driven by 87-year-old Lawrence O. Harms of Lincoln, was at US 65 and Missouri 52, when Harms entered the highway the wrong way and struck a northbound 2016 Freightliner head-on.

The driver of the Freightliner, 24-year-old Mandeep Signh of Bakersfield, Calif., was reportedly uninjured.

Harms suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Air ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

The Freightliner had moderate damage, while the Chrysler had extensive damage.

The Chrysler was towed by Tolliver's Tow, while the Freightliner was towed by Don's Truck Towing.

Benton County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
