Lee’s Summit Man Killed in Cooper County ATV Accident

A Lee's Summit man was killed in an ATV accident that occurred in Cooper County Wednesday evening.

The Missouri State Highway patrol reports that 74-year-old Ralph D. Taylor was the operator of a 2013 Polaris Sportsman 400 at the north end of Taylor Road at 6 p.m., when the ATV rolled down a ravine and overturned, pinning the driver underneath.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:30 p.m. by Cooper County Deputy Coroner Chris Howard.

This was the fourth fatality for Troop F for June and the 24th for 2020.
