Early Saturday morning, Pettis County Deputies attempted a traffic stop on a maroon-colored Nissan Altima.

The vehicle was traveling at 98 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on State Highway Y near Van Natta Road.

As the Deputy turned around to attempt the traffic stop, the vehicle continued to travel eastbound at a high rate of speed, refusing to stop.

The vehicle continued to flee for approximately five miles on State Highway Y at speeds of 115 MPH, where there was no traffic.

The vehicle eventually wrecked into the roundabout at Highway Y and Winchester Road.

The vehicle's wheels on the passenger side were damaged, and the vehicle was disabled. Deputies asked the driver why he ran, and he responded that he "panicked."

The driver, Vincente Rodriguez Cabrera, 18, of La Monte, was placed under arrest.
