A Knob Noster man was injured when a dump truck he was driving overturned on Wednesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2000 Mack dump truck was on Highway V, east of 251st Road in Johnson County at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday, when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned, then traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree and became airborne. The truck then struck a culvert, overturned and came to rest after striking another section of the culvert.

32-year-old Jesse L. Knaus of Knob Noster suffered serious injuries, and was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center for treatment.

The Mack truck was totaled.

Johnson County Deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
