Do you have a child between the ages of 9 and 14 whose good at basketball? A kid who can make free throws while blind folded? Then they might want to participate in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest.

The contest has multiple levels. Local, district and state competitions. Winners from the contest in Sedalia will move on to the district and then hopefully advance to the state contest.

The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest is being held locally on Sunday January 31 at 1:00 PM CST in the Sacred Heart Gym and is open to all children between the ages of 9 and 14. There will be 12 divisions, 9 year old boys through 14 year old boys and 9 year old girls through 14 year old girls. Trophies will be awarded for first place in each division.

The free throw contest will take place in the Sacred Heart Gymnasium and is open to all kids ages 9 through 14 regardless of what school the child attends. Eligibility will be determined by the age of the contestant as of January 1, 2020. There is no entry fee.

Sacred Heart School wants to reiterate that even though the event is being held in their gymnasium the event is open to kids from any school who wish to participate and there is no fee to participate in the contest.

So if you're kid is always shooting hoops... and making them. This might be the contest for them.
