On the evening of August 20th, Deputies responded to a theft call in the 100 block of NW 700 in Warrensburg. The victim stated he had medication stolen from his front door. The investigation is ongoing.


 

Last Tuesday afternoon, Deputies were dispatched to a theft call in the 800 block of SW F Highway in Chilhowee. The victim stated there was approximately $9,000 worth of fraud charges on his business account. The investigation is ongoing.


 

Deputies observed a motorcycle traveling eastbound on 50 Highway near East Young Street in Warrensburg last Tuesday morning. Deputies observed the motorcycle to have no registration. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 150 block of NE 50 Highway. The motorcycle came to a stop near the south roundabout on the Highway 13 Bypass, just south of Highway 50. Jason Bronston, 43, of Omaha Nebraska, was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant. The warrant was issued in May of 2024 on charges of Speeding (16-19 MPH Over) with bond set at $250.00 cash only. The report also notes Bronston was taken in on four additional new charges, but the charges were not listed in the report.


 

Deputies were dispatched to a rural Garden City address in regards to theft last Tuesday morning. The reporting party sated someone had trespassed on his property and cut down a walnut tree. Pictures were taken of the cut down tree. The stolen log was located and photos were taken.


 

Last Tuesday morning, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of NE 50 Highway in Knob Noster. Deputies identified the driver as Jaquelin Compos-Posada. Compos-Posada was taken into custody for a Failure to Appear warrant out of Lee’s Summit on original charges of Failure to Produce Insurance.


 

Deputies took a theft report from Kingsville in the 300 block of NW 1771 on the evening of August 19th. Information was gathered, and an investigation is ongoing.


 

On the morning of August 19th, Deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of NW AA highway in Kingsville in regards to a domestic disturbance. The reporting party advised his girlfriend is slamming doors and trying to take his vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene and both subjects advised the altercation was physical. Neither one had marks and a primary aggressor could not be determined. A C.I.T. report and a Domestic Informational were completed.


Deputies were dispatched to an address in rural Warrensburg in reference to a “keep the peace” call. Upon arrival, and investigator for a domestic assault was conducted. A witness confirmed the assault occurred, and no arrests were made on scene. A “keep the peace” was conducted so the victim could receive their property from the residence. All parties involved were released on scene.


 

Deputies responded to an address in rural Mayview in reference to stolen property on the evening of August 18th. It was learned that a boat and two trolling motors were stolen on two separate instances. Deputies made contact with Dustin Ray Keller, 35, of Warrensburg, who returned the property. Keller was placed under arrest and transported to the Johnson County Jail pending formal charges.


 

Deputies were on patrol in the city of Chilhowee when they observed a gray in color Chevrolet truck travelling north on Main Street on the morning of August 18th. It had no front license plate, and the rear license plate was shown to belong to a passenger car. The driver, Travis Wood (no age or address given), was arrested for Driving While Revoked. Wood was then released on scene with a court date.

On the morning of August 18th, Deputies were dispatched to Warrensburg Storage, 345 SE DD Highway in Warrensburg in reference to a burglary. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the victim, who said the lock on their storage unit was cut off and property was removed without their permission.


 

Deputies were dispatched to the 1900 block of SW 850 in reference to a harassment call on the evening of August 17th. Upon arrival, Deputies took Joseph Rex Stone, 40, of Garden City, into custody for his misdemeanor warrant on original charges of Resisting Arrest. Stone was given a new charge of Resisting Arrest, pending a $750 cash only bond.


 

On the afternoon of August 16th, Deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of SW 1651 in Holden for a report of a lost or stolen license plate. Luke Poe stated the front license plate of his truck was missing. One of the two Missouri plates were reporting missing from the vehicle.


 

Deputies were dispatched for an agency assist with the Johnson County Ambulance District Medics in Kingsville. Deputies conducted an investigation of child neglect in the 500 block of NW 1601, and all parties on scene refused medical treatment.


 

Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at an address in rural Warrensburg. The reporting party stated they were assaulted by their girlfriend. The victim stated they were punched in the head. Malea Diane Cornelius, 19, of Warrensburg, was arrested on a charge of Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree.


 

On the evening of August 13th, Deputies were dispatched to a rural address in Johnson County regarding a domestic disturbance. The reporting party stated there was a disturbance. The suspect assaulted the victim with an open hand, striking her neck and nose. The victim had visible injuries. Iquetta Gaines, 31, of Warrensburg, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree.


 

Deputies took a report on the evening of August 14th in reference to a suspicious person. The reporting party stated a male and a female provide care to his horses and donkey in the 200 block of SW 131 in Holden. The reporting party found out later the animals were given improper care, but what he found out led to the discovery that they were unlicensed veterinary technicians.


 

Johnson County Deputies were dispatched to a report of property damage in reference to a Ford pickup damaging a yard in the 300 block of NW 1851 in Kingsville. The Ford was believed to be involved in a prior vehicle pursuit with Cass County Deputies. There is no suspect information at this time. The victim did not want to proceed with charges of property damage.


 

Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the early morning of August 15th in the 400 block of SW 13 Highway in Warrensburg. Deputies identified the driver as Justin Brock Kidd, 46, of Warrensburg. Kidd was found to be in possession for a pistol, which is illegal for him because he is a convicted felon. Kidd did not have a motorcycle endorsement on his driver’s license, nor did he have proof of insurance. Kidd was taken into custody on the following charges: Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Operating a Motorcycle Without Endorsement, and Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance.


 

Deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of SW 11 Road in Warrensburg in regards to a theft on the afternoon of August 15th. Treva Pounds reported the title to her car and trailer she lived in had been stolen. Pounds provided a possible suspect in the theft, and the case is under investigation.


 

Deputies were dispatched to a possible sexual assault in rural Kingsville on the evening of August 15th. The investigation is ongoing.


 

On the morning of August 15th, Deputies were dispatched to a weapons call in the 200 block of SE Business 13 Highway. The caller stated their grandmother was threatened with a firearm. Deputies identified the suspect, and several witnesses identified the suspect as having pointed the firearm. Dakota James Wittmeyer, 25, of Warrensburg, was arrested on a charge of felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Wittmeyer was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Johnson County Jail. Bond was set at $20,000 cash only.
