A Jefferson City man was injured in a three-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday in Miller County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2012 Ford Focus, driven by 18-year-old Abriannah N. Curtin of Barnett, was on Missouri 52, one quarter mile east of Admire Road just before 6:30 p.m., when it hit a deer, causing the deer to enter the windshield of a westbound 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by 61-year-old Charles N. Ekeanyanwu of Jefferson City. The deer struck Ekeanyanwu in the face. The Dodge was then struck in the rear by a westbound 2009 Toyota Scion XB, driven by 23-year-old Rebecca M. Dodd of Cole Camp.

Ekeanyanwu suffered moderate injuries, and was transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment.

The Ford had minor damage, while the Toyota had moderate damage and the Dodge was totaled. All three were towed.
