Missouri Really Wants to Teach You How to Trap Raccoons
If you live in Missouri, you will see raccoon often. That's a fact. For some, they're cute while for others they are a nuisance. If you're in the second group, good news as Missouri really does want to teach you how to trap raccoons.
I did a double-take when I saw this, but I understand why Missouri feels it's necessary to offer a free raccoon trapping class this month. The Missouri Department of Conservation says this raccoon class will take place from 9am until noon on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the Parma Woods Shooting Range and Training Center in Parkville, Missouri.
They also provided a detailed agenda about what attendees can expect:
MDC staff will teach the basics about trapping raccoons. Participants will learn about traps, how to set them, and how to handle fur from harvested raccoons. They can be trapped for fur pelts and their meat can be cooked.
This is how it's done.
If you're thinking to yourself "Boy, this raccoon trapping class sounds fun and educational!", you can register for it through the Missouri Department of Conservation website.
