How To Make Treasured Memories With Crowder’s Christmas Event
Well, it's that time of year. Sure, it's the most wonderful time of the year, but it's also one of the more stressful.
I bet you could use a small weekend getaway with the family. Nothing too big, maybe just a little roadtrip? Maybe just a little change of scenery? Something fun, but not expensive? Maybe something festive, where you can enjoy just a bit of the outdoors?
Why not try a place with 1,912 acres in the rolling hills? A place where you could enjoy more than 17 miles of hiking, bicycling, backpacking and equestrian trails in a forested, rugged terrain? What about a place where fishing and boating can happen on an 18-acre Lake? Why not try a place with a family-oriented campground that includes modern restrooms and picnic sites scattered throughout the park?
Okay, okay, I'll just ago ahead and tell you. Crowder State Park is having a Christmas At Crowder event this weekend!
Join the team at Crowder State Park Saturday, Dec. 14 for Christmas at Crowder! Meet at Camp Grand River Recreation Hall at 1 p.m. where attendees can make Christmas crafts, listen to stories, get pictures with Santa and more! This fun afternoon if free and open to the public and registration is not required.
Sounds perfect, doesn't it? Trenton is about two hours drive away. So it's a little bit of a road trip, but not a huge one. In fact, if you've got little ones, they'll probably nap on the way up there AND the way back. Plus, you'll get some fun crafting time, and a picture with Santa!
Crowder State Park is located at 76 NW Highway 128 in Trenton. For more information, call 660-359-6473. For more information on state parks and historic sites, visit mostateparks.com. Missouri State Parks is a division of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
