A Holden man was killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred Tuesday in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2012 Harley Davidson, driven by 56-year-old Samuel M. Chapman of Holden was on U Highway south of County Road SW 250th at 5:30 p.m., when the Harley traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch, ejecting the driver.

Chapman was pronounced dead at 6:26 p.m. by Dr. Brigg. The body was taken to the Johnson County Coroner's Office.

Johnson County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
