As a kid growing up in the 60's, we couldn't wait to put on our Casper masks, tie on our Superman cape, or throw one of mom's good sheets over our head and go as a ghost for Halloween.  Most of us had the old brown grocery bags to carry around with us to gather our bounty of goodies.  Of course, there were no handles and the sack was cumbersome but man o' man could we ever load that thing up with candy!  Running from house to house and ringing the doorbells.  You usually knew who had the best candy and whose house to stay away from because, of course, it was haunted!!!  The best part was coming home and spreading out our evening's treats and compare who got the best pieces.  Some trading went on throughout the course of the evening and our parents would finally limit our intake of the sugary jewels, but it was all worth it. Halloween as a kid...I think as we get older we forget how much fun it was growing up.
