Captain Steven V. Wilhoit, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, is pleased to announce the assignment of four new troopers within Troop A.

The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 120th Recruit Class, which graduated from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy on June 21, 2024. The new troopers will report for duty in their respective assignments on July 8, 2024.

Trooper Bryce S. Lautenschlager, a native of Lexington, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 12, which serves the citizens of Johnson County. Trooper Lautenschlager graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington, Missouri, in 2020. He holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from the University of Central Missouri, in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Trooper Micah J. Saladrigas, a native of Plant City, Florida, has been assigned to Zone 3, which serves the citizens of Clay County. Trooper Saladrigas graduated from Tenoroc High School in Lakeland, Florida, in 2018. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Trooper Saladrigas served in the United States Army as a wheeled vehicle mechanic from 2019 until 2022. He continues to serve in the United States Army as a reservist. Trooper Saladrigas and his wife, Mya (Williams), have a son, Oliver.

Trooper Aric M. Storey, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 2, which serves the citizens of Platte County. Trooper Storey graduated from Platte County High School in Platte City, Missouri, in 2017. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Trooper Storey served the citizens of Platte County, Missouri, as a detention officer with the Platte County Sheriff’s Office.

Trooper Griffin W. Winesburg, a native of Rogers, Arkansas, has been assigned to Zone 15, which serves the citizens of Henry County. Trooper Winesburg graduated from Webb City High School in Webb City, Missouri, in 2019. Trooper Winesburg has served in the Missouri National Guard as a combat medic specialist since 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Missouri Southern State University, in Joplin, Missouri.
