Five Family Fun Filled Days: Local Vendors, Food, And Kids’ Games Await!
Guys, I know we're all looking forward to event season. It's the best time of the year!
Well, at least is for people like me. I'm a sucker for fall colors, candles that smell like fire, and most of all, Saturdays getting together looking at stuff other people made. And then maybe buying that stuff.
I know there's more to it for you, you've probably got some gifts to buy or children to entertain and all that jazz. So, let me get a list together of some of the Fall Festivals coming up so you can plan accordingly. Here they are, in no particular order.
1. The St Paul's Lutheran School PTL Fall Festival.
This one will be coming up on Saturday, October 12th. It'll start at 10:00 a.m., and finish up around 3:00 p.m. It'll be held at the school, 701 South Massachusetts. You can get updates here.
Join us at our fall festival fundraising event! We'll have games, crafts, pumpkins, food trucks, a bake sale, and a craft market.
2. Bleak to Chik Presents: A Fall Festival.
This one will be coming up on September 28th. They'll start at 10:00 a.m. and go through 5:00 p.m. So you can stop by before lunch, or grab some lunch there, then play some games, etc. You'll have options. Check out their Facebook page for details.
Join us for a Family Fun Filled day!
local vendors, Food, kids games and so much more!
3. Show Me Crafters Fall Craft Show.
Now this one is special because it's 100% free. Well, it's free to park and free to get in. It's not free to, you know, buy a candle or something. You get it. But they'll be out there for two whole days IN TWO DIFFERENT BUILDINGS, so you know it's pretty serious. Check out more from the event here.
4. Fall Social Ride.
Okay, this one IS a little different. So it's not a festival so to speak, but a social event. A cycling event meant to bring people together to bike through the fall scenery.
It's time for our annual Social Ride! This year we are hitting the Katy Trail, starting in Sedalia heading to Clifton Bluffs, just east of Clifton City, then returning back to Sedalia to eat at Fitters on the square! If you have any questions please reach out. We look forward to riding with you then!
Read more about it, and the Higginsville Cycling Club, here.
5. Sedalia Parks and Rec Harvest Hoedown
This one looks like it could be fun for the whole gang to head to.
Introducing our newest program, the The Harvest Hoedown Family Dance! Dancing, learn a line dance, snacks, smores, photo ops, fun! No dinner provided.
Embrace the fall season! Come dressed in your best country-western outfit! Cowboy hats, boots, plaid shirts!
It'll be on November 23rd from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Convention Hall. The cost is only $30 for a family of five, and if you need more than that in your group, it's $15 per additional guest over the 5 family group registration. Register online at www.sedaliaparks.com, and you can click through here to find out more about it, as well.
And of course, if your charity group, church group, school group, or any other organization has a Fall Festival or social night coming up, please do let us know what we missed. I can always do a Fall Festival Part Two: Electric Boogaloo.
Festively yours,
Behka
