The Sedalia Downtown area is one of those places I think everyone knows about, but doesn't keep it in mind every day. That's a shame, because our downtown is growing, changing, upgrading, and bringing Sedalia's history alive every day.  Not only did they have a great Chocolate Crawl recently, but they've got plans in motion for this year's Scott Joplin festival and more.

The Chocolate Crawl on Feb. 8 had over 30 businesses interacting with over 200 people in downtown Sedalia, enjoying all kinds of delicious chocolate.  The Scott Joplin festival is one of the biggest events all year here in town, and the Sedalia Downtown Development group is always looking for your input on that, as well.  Another idea the SDDI has brewing is the possibility of doing a Church Tour in May.

I got to talk with Meg Liston with the Sedalia Downtown Development about those events and about how you can help out in whatever capacity you have.

So if you'd like to find out more about the Church Tour, The Scott Joplin Festival, or how you can volunteer and help out, go to their website, their Facebook page, or call them at 827-7388.

Downtownly yours,
Behka
