It's the time of the year when high school football teams are hoping their season is peaking as they roll into the first round of districts in Missouri.

There's a couple of area teams that have byes in the first round. The Lincoln Cardinals get a bye but they don't. The team they were to play in Class 1, District 3 first round action, Pleasant Hope, has forfeited their game with the Cardinals due to injures on their team. So the Cardinals will move on to the second round as they will play the winner of tonight's Cole Camp/Tipton game next Friday.

The Smith-Cotton Tigers also have a first round bye due to their distirict only having four teams. The Tigers will travel to O'Fallon next Friday night to play the number one team in Class 5 and the number one seed in Class 5, District 4, Ft. Zumwalt North.

Here's a list of other area district games:

Concordia at Windsor

Northwest with Sacred Heart at Liberal

Stockton at Warsaw

St. Pius X at Knob Noster

Clinton at Odessa

Ruskin at Warrensburg

Marshall at St. Dominic
