Getting ready to travel the friendly skies over the holidays?  If Columbia Regional Airport is your destination for departure, take note.

You see and read a lot of ratings of "worst airports" across the country, and a lot of times it's more disgruntled travelers that weigh in with their two cents worth of complaints. Not this time. According to a story from the Huffington Post, the Travelmath analysts have come up with some real results.

They've compiled data from the Bureau of Transportation from 2015, and have come up with the ranking of 322 airports dependent on six factors. The results aren't really that surprising.  The big boys in New York rank in the top ten as having three of the worst airports. So if Newark, LaGuardia and JFK are in your travel plans, be prepared. Along with these are Washington Dulles, Chicago O'Hare, and Dallas/Fort Worth International.

One that was a surprise of the worst-ranked regional airports was the Columbia, Missouri Regional Airport.  According to the report the reason was abnormally numbers of cancelled flights.

If you're flying in the next week to ten days, take a deep breath and hope for the best.
