Clinton Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Producing Child Porn
A Clinton, Missouri man was identified and arrested the same day he shared live video and images of his sexual assault of a toddler and photos with an undercover officer.
25 years in federal prison without parole was the sentence for Gino Alexander Maiorano, 26, of Clinton. Maiorano was identified and arrested on the same day he shared live video and images of the toddler. U.S. District Judge Greg Kays sentenced Maiorano to the 25 year term in federal prison without parole. Maiorano was also sentenced by the court to spend the rest of his life on supervised release following incarceration.
Back in June, 2020, Maiorano pleaded guilty to one count of producing child pornography. He admitted in court that on April 12, 2019, he used a 2-year-old victim to produce child pornography.
While in Washington, D.C., an FBI agent, acting in an undercover capacity, communicated with Maiorano in an online Kik chat group. Maiorano sent the live video and photos while he was chatting with the FBI agent. The investigators immediately started the process of identifying him and his location to rescue the child victim.
After emergency disclosure requests were sent to Kik, identification of Maiorano was made through a family member. A photograph of a kitchen area matched the same area of the photograph that was sent by Maiorano to the undercover officer. More information was obtained from Maiorano’s cell phone provider. This information indicated that he had been on his cell phone the same time that the video and images of child pornography had been sent to the undercover agent.
According to information received from the United States Department of Justice:
Officers arrested Maiorano at his residence on the same day. Officers seized his phone, which contained another video of child pornography involving a different child victim.
