Thursday night, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 600 block of South Washington in reference to a property damage report. Officers spoke with the caller, who said she heard a bang and then saw a female who she knew to be a friend of the victim trying to get into the victim's apartment. The caller said she spoke to the suspect, who admitted to breaking a window in the front of the apartment. The victim, Gregg Bernard Cravens, was contacted and confirmed that the suspect was not to be there. A UTT was issued for property damage.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West 9th Street and South Prospect Avenue for an equipment violation early Thursday morning. The driver of the vehicle was in possession of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe. Charlotte E. Vinson, 39, Homeless, was arrested on charges of Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Break Time store, 318 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft Thursday night. When Officers arrived, they spoke with an employee of the store, Nicole Major. Major said a male had stolen a package of beef jerky before leaving the area. No arrests have been made at this point.


 

Thursday night, Officers responded to the 700 block of North Quincy Avenue in reference to a burglary. All three male subjects were identified and ran through Dispatch. One of the male subjects was confirmed to have an active warrant for Failure to Appear out of Pettis County on original charges of Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. Aleksey Ryakhmyatullov, 25, of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $60 cash only.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers responded to the 400 block of West Morgan Street for a report of a hit and run motor vehicle accident. Contact was made with Tina Yvonne Cole, who reported that her vehicle was parked on the side of the road and was struck by another vehicle that fled from the scene.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Police Station lobby for a report of a theft Thursday morning. Upon arrival, Officers met with Leonid Fayuk, who stated that his Ford F450 was in the Katy Motors parking lot when it was taken without his permission. The video footage of the incident showed it was taken on the morning of May 13th. It was later found in Kansas City, where it was towed to the City tow lot.


 

Officers were dispatched to the CVS Pharmacy, 100 East Broadway Boulevard, for a report of property damage Thursday morning. Upon arrival, Officers met with the caller, who was an employee of Redbox. The subject stated that he found that the Redbox screen was damaged by someone between May 22nd and May 27th. The subject estimated the damage to be worth $750.00.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of Liberty Park for a report of an adult subject saying inappropriate things to children that were playing in the park Wednesday afternoon. Officers made contact with the intoxicated subject and trespassed him from all of the City parks. Officers later made contact with the same subject, who was inside Centennial Park. Steven Paul Davidson, 65, Homeless, was arrested for Trespassing and was placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold.


 

Thursday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to the Casey's store, 1601 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a forgery report. The manager of the store said that early in the morning on May 25th, a subject came into the store and paid using a forged $50 bill.


 

Sedalia Police received a theft report from the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard Thursday afternoon. Asset Protection employees discovered that on Tuesday, a male subject had some into the store and stole a pack of shirts and a pair of jeans. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.


 

Thursday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Police Station lobby for a report of an assault that took place in the area of East 13th and South Lamine. Upon arrival, Officers met with Johnnie L. Stuart II, who stated a known suspect hit him several times with a metal pipe. Stuart had extensive injuries and had been in the hospital for the past few days.


 

Sedalia Police made contact Thursday afternoon with a male subject that had found suspected narcotics in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Avenue. The suspected narcotics were seized for destruction.


 

Pettis County Jail

On the morning of May 26th, Officers conducted a warrant check in the Wendy's restaurant, 1301 South Limit Avenue. Kobe K. Staten, 17, of Sedalia, was arrested at the scene. Staten was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a court date to be determined and a bond of $250,000. Staten was also in possession of marijuana at the time of the arrest. The charge on the warrant was not available at the time of reporting.


 

Wednesday morning, an Officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of South Carr Avenue for a theft report. Ruslan Buyanovskiy said that his 15 year old son transferred $250 from his personal bank account to a joint account and used the money to purchase concert tickets.
