Clinton Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident

A Clinton man was injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred early Saturday morning in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2013 Harley Davidson, driven by 23-year-old William Hawkins of Clinton, was on Route C at Heerman Road around 1:45 when the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a ditch. The Harley then overturned, ejecting the driver.

Hawkins suffered serious injuries and was flown to KU Medical Center by Life Flight.

The Harey had moderate damage.
