Carrollton Woman Killed in Head-On Collision

A September 11 accident in Carroll County killed a 96-year-old Carrollton woman and injured two others.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2008 Mercury Mariner made a left turn into a business and struck a 2002 Mercury Sable head-on. An occupant of the Sable, 96-year-old Winnie Cauble, was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital by EMS, where she was pronounced dead.

The drivers of the two vehicles - 78-year-old Roger McWilliams and 70-year-old Larry Cauble - both suffered moderate injuries and were treated at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
