BRHC sponsoring Sports Medicine Clinic at Smith-Cotton
Bothwell Regional Health Center is offering a sports medicine clinic designed for coaches, athletic directors, athletic staff, trainers, student athletes and their parents Wednesday, August 15, from 1-4 pm at the Smith-Cotton High School Auditorium (Heckart Performing Arts Center) in Sedalia.
Dr. Doug Kiburz, Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, Bothwell Regional Health Center will emcee the event.
The keynote speaker will be Dave Slifer, head women’s basketball coach at UCM, who will be talking about how to create a championship team.
Topics for the event include:
- The long-term ramifications of sports injuries.
- Building a championship sports program
- You, too, can be an athletic trainer
It is free and open to the public. If you register before August 8, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a $100 gift card.
The sports medicine clinic is designed to optimize the health and performance of student athletes.
