It’s time to welcome the new year by taking a look back – tickets are now on sale for the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri’s annual auction, An Evening in Old Hollywood presented by The W-K Family of Dealerships.

The event, celebrating its 33rd year in 2023, promises to be an evening of fun with live entertainment, a full dinner, cash bar, new games and raffles and plenty of exciting silent and live auction items.

“This year we have an old Hollywood theme and we hope to bring some of that 1940s and 1950s glamour and excitement to the auction,” said Assistant Director of Development Gabby White. “This is our largest event of the year and each time I don’t think we can top what we did last year – but our wonderful auction committee finds a way. We have a ton of surprises in store for our guests.”

Some new changes this year include a full pasta buffet dinner, entertainment from Kansas City’s Superstar Mafia cover band, and a VIP cocktail hour.

“We hope the VIP hour will really set the scene for our guests, a little something extra and exclusive for those who wish to upgrade their tickets,” White said. “I’m also looking forward to showcasing some of our amazing auction packages, including signed memorabilia, trips and couple’s getaways, and more.”

An Evening in Old Hollywood will be held February 18 at the Missouri Agriculture Building on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. Doors open at 5 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and at 6 p.m. for the general public. Tickets are $75 per person and include dinner, cash bar and access to games and auction items. Silent auction items will also be available to bid online for those unable to attend.
