I have to admit, with all the Hallmark Christmas movies that have been showing since when...4th of July weekend, (?) I could use a refresher list of some Christmas movies. I mean I love my favorite classics like "It's a Wonderful Life",  "Die Hard", "Home Alone", "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" and "A Christmas Story."

I ran across this list of some of the best Christmas movies you've probably never seen. Out of a list of 24 movies, I've only seen three or four of them. Some I've heard of and then there's some that I never realized existed.

This may be the list of movies that will bring back some joy to your holidays. I will begin with the ones that I've seen in years past-

  • "Meet Me in St. Louis" - Sat down and watched this one all the way thru either last year or the year before. Judy Garland and the crew won't disappoint you.
  • "White Christmas" - Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, and Rosemary Clooney makes the 50's classic one worth watching again and again!
  • "The Muppet Christmas Carol" - I know I've watched this classic with Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge but for the life of me, I can't remember all the details. Probably worth revisiting.
  • "Trading Places" - Great Christmas movie with Eddie Murphy, Dan Akroyd, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Those are the ones I have seen, and here is a list of the other ones that may be worth watching this year-

  • "29th Street" may be one of those under the radar movies worth checking out.
  • "Meet John Doe" - A 1941 classic with Gary Cooper.
  • "The Man Who Came to Dinner" - You'll recognize many faces in this one.
  • "Mixed Nuts" - A Steve Martin comedy.

Check them out and see what you think!
