B.A.D. Ass. Poker Run Supports C.A.S.A, but You Don’t Have to Ride to Help

The Pettis County C.A.S.A. (Citizens Against Spousal Abuse) is holding their B.A.D. Ass. (Bikers Against Domestic Assault) Poker Run on Saturday June 9.  Registration for the ride starts at 9 a.m. at Liberty Park in Sedalia, and will leave at 10:30 a.m. The stops will be in Tipton, Stover, Lincoln, Windsor and will end at 6 p.m. at The End Zone in the Thompson Hills Shopping Center.

At the End Zone, there will be a bike show, silent auction and the band Smoke Stack Soul will perform.  You do NOT have to ride to help this fine institution.  Everyone is welcome to come out for the evening.

C.A.S.A. does more than offer shelter to women and children from abusive situations.  They also help with legal advocacy and finding the people that come to them the tools they need to cope  with the traumatic environment that they left.

I'll be there that evening to judge the bike show and do whatever emcee duties they deem necessary.  Hope to see you there to support the people that do this important work.
