An 11-year-old boy and a 58-year-old man were injured in a crash involving an ATV 4x4 Sunday afternoon in Lafayette County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 58-year-old John W. Strickler of Odessa, was the driver of a 2006 Yamaha Grizzly at Wheatley and Three T Road (northeast of Odessa) around 2:15 p.m., when ATV crossed into the path of an eastbound 2002 Dodge Dakota, driven by 63-year-old Ronald L. Geary, also of Odessa.

The Dodge struck the rear tire of the Yamaha, ejecting the driver and the passenger, an 11-year-old boy.

Strickler suffered moderate injuries, while the boy suffered serious injuries. Both were transported to Centerpoint Medical Center by Higginsville EMS.
