The annual Sedalia Christmas parade will take place Saturday morning (Dec 1) in Downtown Sedalia.

The theme for the 2018 parade is Christmas Memories and features over 130 participants, including floats, vehicles and horses. Several area groups and organizations will take part in the holiday tradition.

The parade, hosted by the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce, has been an annual event for more than 50 years.

The parade runs the length of Ohio Street in the downtown area, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Participants should be in the lineup no later than 9:30 a.m.

It was noted that Heard Memorial Clubhouse members will be selling boxes of cookies for $10.00 in the parking at 7th and Osage Ave.
