A Couple More Days of Excessive Heat Then Relief on the Way

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast gets better as the weekend ends and we get into next week.

The dangerous heat will continue today through Saturday with high temepratures in the mid to upper 90s and heat index values in the 105 to 115 degree range today and the 105 to 110 range tomorrow. A cold front is expected to move into the area on Sunday bringing a chance for a few strong thunderstorms and much needed relief from the extreme heat.

Sunny, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 107. South southwest wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Clear, with a low around 78. South southwest wind 8 to 11 mph.

Sunny, with a high near 95. Heat index values as high as 106. South southwest wind 9 to 13 mph.

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Mostly clear, with a low around 74. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
