9/11 Took Place 17 Years Ago Today… Where Were You When it Happened?

It's pretty much etched into our minds. On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks took place as hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon and another crashed in the woods in Pennsylvania.

Events and dates that come to mind in my lifetime...

November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assasinated in Dallas, Texas. I was a six year old playing at a friend's house when his sister came running out screaming the President Kennedy had been shot.

January 28, 1986...the explosion of the space shuttle Challenger. I was driving to Tulsa, Oklahoma on business.

Unfortunately, it's the tragic ones that are moments in your life you will never forget.

On September 11, 2001 I was in the office at an insurance company where I was working at the time in Lenexa, Kansas. I closed the office and headed home and stayed glued to the TV, like many, for most of the day.
