One particularly fun thing about being on the radio, especially in the summertime, is that you get to talk to all sorts of people who are having get-togethers and events.  The 4-H Foundation is going to have a dinner and silent auction coming up, and Lori Gerke came in to talk to me about it. They're not just having dinner, though.  They're going to have a 4-H Style show, project exhibits and a silent basket auction.  These baskets are the ones donated by all the Pettis County 4-H Clubs so they're definitely going to be diverse and interesting, made with lots of care. Not only that, they're going to have an amazing tool box up for auction.

The goal of the Pettis County Foundation is to keep the 4-H strong here locally.  As the income of the foundation grows, they can do more things for the kids.  They even get scholarships going and organize more events.  They'll have the event at the Our Savior Lutheran Church at 3700 West Broadway on July 11 starting at 4:30 and going til 7:30 p.m.

Here's my interview with Lori for more details:

Craftily yours,
Behka
