A Sedalia woman was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident that sent one woman to the hospital.

Sedalia Police responded to the accident on April 26 around 5 p.m. in the area of Broadway Blvd. and Prospect Ave. A victim told police she was westbound on Broadway Blvd. when a vehicle turned off the northbound lane of Prospect Avenue and collided with her front driver side, causing significant damage and forcing her to leave the roadway. The vehicle that caused the accident then fled westbound on Broadway Blvd. Several witnesses verified the victim's statement. The victim was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by private vehicle for treatment of swelling to her right ankle.

According to Sedalia Police, and investigation identified 22-year-old Kayla D. Martin as a suspect. Martin was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and no insurance. She was booked and released.
