A one-vehicle accident on June 13 led to minor to moderate injuries for four teenagers.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 16-year-old Matthew Garbarz of Tipton was driving a 2009 Dodge Caliber on Old 112 Rd. around 3:20 p.m., when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.

Mid MO Ambulance transported Garbarz and three passengers - 18-year-old Aubrey Schuster and 15-year-old Alyssa Barnett, both of Tipton, and 17-year-old Eryn Capestro of Warrensburg - to St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled in the accident and was towed from the scene. The Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report indicates that Garbarz was wearing a safety device, though his passengers were not.
