At a time when the nation is experiencing the greatest number of cases since measles elimination was documented in 2000, the University of Central Missouri Health Center is taking proactive steps to reduce the risk of infection by offering special vaccination dates for faculty, staff and students.

The University Health Center will provide MMR vaccine on a walk-in basis 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27 on the UCM Warrensburg campus. It also will offer the vaccine 9 a.m. to 4 today at the UCM Summit Center in Lee's Summit.  Individuals requesting vaccination should bring their insurance card and their shot records if they have them available. Appointments for the vaccine also can be made by calling 660-543-4770. The cost of the vaccine without insurance is $80.

The 19th-ranked Mules shot 56 percent from the field and blew past the Lincoln Blue Tigers 67-47 on Wednesday night at Jason Gym. Nine of the 11 Mules who played in the game scored. The win gave the Mules (20-4, 11-4 MIAA) their third straight 20-win season and the 24th in program history.  UCM is back in action on Saturday hosting Lindenwood at 3:30 p.m. on Hall of Fame Saturday. The Mules and Lions are part of a three-way tie atop the MIAA standings.

The Jennies received scoring from nine different players, five of whom reached double-figures, preserving a 78-63 victory at Lincoln on Wednesday and moving closer to securing a first round conference bye.  Central Missouri will go for its fourth straight win this Saturday, February 14 at 1:30 p.m. against Lindenwood University.
