On Thursday, October 16th, MOPAC Caboose 12099 will be moved from its current location on the Missouri State Fairgrounds to its new home at the south end of the historic Katy Depot complex.

Here's a look at what's going on in Sedalia this weekend!

The little caboose on South 65 has been the Sedalia Visitors Center for a few years now.  Most of us drive by it every day without giving it much thought.  I know I did!

Here's a look at the events going on in our area this weekend!

Sedalia has a rich, storied history that most of us in town are aware of, but don't think a lot about.  In fact, every day we probably go right by some of the landmarks and important sites in town that meant a lot to our forefathers.  Shutter Glimpses, a photographic art exhibit by Moonlight 10 Photography, will be displaying some of those images at the Katy Depot starting this weekend.

Winter is coming, like it or not.  You're probably getting your car ready, you're getting the shovel out of the garage and getting out your winter clothes.  While you're doing that, think of maybe helping out some local kids.

The Katy Depot is one of those local places that is rich in Sedalia History.  It's come a long way since when I was a kid, and it was a sad state of disrepair. Now, it's a thriving, educational hub where history comes to life in modern times.

The American Red Cross came back to Sedalia, this time with a little help from the St. Louis Cardinals. The blood drive was held at the Katy Depot. The turnout was great and those who donated got a specially designed shirt from the St. Louis Cardinals.

The St. Louis Cardinals and American Red Cross have teamed up to help save lives with a blood drive this Friday, July 26, at the Katy Depot Women's Waiting Room located at 600 South Third Street. The blood drive will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
