The State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners and Roadrunners won their Region 16 Tournament and District Championship, and are moving onto the NJCAA Division I Tournament next week in Kansas.

It's time to dust off the crystal ball. This year, 63 intense college basketball games will fill up the college basketball championship tournament bracket – it's your job to figure out who wins each one.

Wow. That may be all you can say after seeing what this boy with one arm did.

Fans of the State Fair Community College Roadrunners will get a chance to ask questions of Lady Roadrunner's Head Coach Kevin Bucher, Assistant Women’s Coach Jordan Greenleaf and Men’s Head Coach Kevin Thomas and Assistant Coach Josh Sash at the final Roadrunners Express at Fitter’s 5th Street Pub on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m.

LeBron James has long been compared to Michael Jordan as he's one of the most gifted players in basketball today. Those comparisons will now extend to cinema as James has signed on for 'Space Jam 2,' a sequel to the film that had MJ playing basketball with Bugs Bunny and the other members of the Looney Tunes.

This Saturday night (Feb. 22) the State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners and Roadrunners finish out their regular season at home versus Region 16 opponent, Mineral Area Community College. The Lady Roadrunners play at 5:30 p.m. and Roadrunners at 7:30 p.m.

The Smith-Cotton Tigers and Lady Tigers will host KC Center tonight (Feb. 14) in a West Central Conference match-up. The Smith-Cotton Lady Tigers are coming off of an impressive win against St. Pius, while the Tigers had a thrilling buzzer beater to beat Clinton.

So many times when we read the paper or look for news on the web, all we see is stuff that's depressing or going to kill you. So I thought today we'd share a happy, inspiring story. It's the story of one kid, Spencer Wilson.

Last week, the Smith-Cotton High School boys played in the McDonalds's Classic Basketball Tournament, and this week, it's the girls turn as the games get started on Thursday night (Jan. 23).

State Fair Community College will sponsor Girl Scout and autograph night on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the Roadrunner basketball games in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia campus.
