State Fair Community College will sponsor Girl Scout and autograph night on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the Roadrunner basketball games in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia campus.

I tried to be a Girl Scout when I was young.  I made it as far as the Brownies and pretty much gave up.  It was work!  I was lazy!  Well, let's be honest, I still am lazy.  And I am still NOT a Girl Scout.  But, I can certainly appreciate all the great stuff that Girl Scouts do and how much good they accomplish as kids and later as adults.

And, yes, cookies.  Magnificent, amazing cookies.   But not just that!  They work in the communities and help people every day while learning valuable skills and maturing into great people.  So, why not give a little thanks for what they're doing?

State Fair Community College is more than ready to do just that.  Girl Scout leaders and members who wear their uniforms, along with their families, receive free admission to the games.  Roadrunners and Lady Roadrunners will sign free team pictures. The men’s team will sign photos during halftime of the women’s game, and the women’s team will sign at halftime of the men’s game.

The SFCC Lady Roadrunners play Crowder College at 5:30 p.m., and the Roadrunners play Missouri Southern University-West Plains at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per adult; children 13-18 years are $2 each, and 12 years and under are free. SFCC students and employees with BLUECARD are admitted free, and in-district residence 60 and older are admitted free.

Thin Mintily -I mean, Girl Scoutingly yours,

Behka
