A lot of people are doing some amazing "homegrown" grassroots efforts to help the victims of the Oklahoma tornado disaster. We have been bringing you the ones we know of on the air to help with the cause.

Our community was devastated by the destruction in Moore, including Dukes & Boots Owner Dale Malone.  He had this to say on Facebook:

Our hearts are heavy with the loss of life... especially the children. Dukes & Boots will be holding a fundraiser for these families, these friends, these children... these victims. We are told that the best option is money, and Dukes & Boots is asking for cash or checks made out to The American Red Cross. You can drop them off anytime between now and Saturday. Please write in the memo of your check '"Moore Oklahoma Victims. "  The club will have fundraisers on Friday & Saturday night as well.

We spoke with Dale about the fundraiser, and you can listen to our interview with him below.

We will add more local fundraising efforts to this post as we receive information. If you know of any more local fundraiser efforts for disaster relief, let us know by submitting the event on our event calendar or leave the information in the comments.

UPDATE: Cardinal Loans has teamed up with the First Baptist Church of Moore to collect items to help our Neighbors in Oklahoma.  They will be collecting donations until May 31, then sending donations directly to Moore.  Click here for more information.
