Sacred Heart Bazaar Brings Multifaceted Fun to Sedalia This Weekend [INTERVIEW
The Sacred Heart Bazaar will take place October 11 and 12 at the Sacred Heart School.
The Sacred Heart Bazaar has been a thriving event here in Sedalia for over forty years. There are many new aspects to it this year to freshen things up. At 3 p.m there will be a Texas Hold Em Tournament. Check in is at 2:30 p.m. You must be 21 to enter. Entry fee is $40, with a one time buy back in for $40. Cash prizes will be available. From 4-7 p.m. there will be a fried chicken and ham dinner with all the trimmings, including dessert. Advance tickets are $10, $5 for kids aged 6-12, and five year olds and under eat for free. Advance tickets are available at the rectory. Tickets at the door cost $2 more. At 7:00 p.m. there will be an auction. Silent auction will run from 4 to 9 p.m. It’ll be held in the High School Gym. The craft booth will be open.
I got to talk with one of the organizers of the event, Ann Dove, about what you'll see at this year's bazaar.
Events for Sunday, October 12 include carnival games, a country store, craft booth, bingo, cake walk, and more from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The silent auction will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gym.
