Here's a look at what's going to be happening, and what you can expect - but just know that you should expect the unexpected!  They'll start early on Saturday September 28 with the Sedalia Regional Airport fly-in with the KC Dawn Patrol WWI replica airplane air show.  They start that at 7:00 a.m. and continue until the festival kicks off at 10:00 a.m.  That's when the artists and crafters booths open, as well as the food court and commercial booths.  They'll have an authentic Civil War Encampment and demonstration on the Liberty Center's west lawn.  From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 there will be historic celebrity bingo.

The kid's alley will have a walk in inflatable, pony rides, a strolling ventriloquist, strolling docents in period costume, a vintage clothing store and vintage autos on display.  There will also be musicians everywhere for your entertainment.  You can tour the Pettis County Court House Murals with the Judge Donald Barnes at 11:00 a.m.   The South Fork Regulators will start their shoot out at noon at the Court House.  Wine tasting starts at noon at Art Impressions at 412 South Ohio.  Spofest will have their celebration of the spoken word in the Liberty Center Lobby at 1:00 p.m.  There will be a special performance of "Blue Or Gray: Three perspectives of the Civil War" on the QPFA stage at 2:00 p.m.  The Missouri Square and Round Dancers will perfrom at 3:00 p.m. in front of the QPFA stage.  Good Eats will be at the Ag Building from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. before the big barn dance at 8:00 p.m. which will feature Ben Van Dyke, the Harms Brothers, and the Auctioneers (Leroy Van Dyke's Band).

Most of the activities are in historic Downtown Sedalia, but then after 5:00 p.m. they move out to the Missouri State Fairgrounds for the Good Eats and the Barn Dance, at the Ag Building.  So make sure you make a day of it, and don't miss anything! You can get tickets to the Barn Dance here.  Don't miss out on the Festival, coming up September 28!
