There are several events planned in our area for the celebration of Veterans Day. Here's a look at some of the local festivities.

The Liberty Center Association for the Arts and Starline Brass is thrilled to welcome Royal Wade Kimes back to the Liberty Center stage.

The concert will be Saturday, Nov. 9 beginning at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.  The show is always a rousing, energetic, packed concert. Kimes will pay tribute to our American heroes during the show.  Join us at the Liberty Center to celebrate our veterans.  The community is invited to purchase tickets in order to send local veterans as no charge to them to the concert. Veterans tickets will be distributed through the 40 and 8 Organization. To sponsor a veteran, please call the Liberty Center to purchase tickets or mail your sponsor marked “Veterans Show.” If you would like to send a 40 and 8 veteran to the show or purchase tickets for yourself, please contact the Liberty Center at (660) 827-3228 or via e-mail: lcaa@iland.net or stop by the office at 111 West 5th Street in historic downtown Sedalia.
