Most of us know at least one person who is graduating next month. With all of the students working hard and studying, its time for you to take a quiz. We want to test your knowledge about local graduations, ceremonies and how it all got started. So before you put on your cap and gown on, here is one last test before graduation.
What can I say? I give up on this weather. What do you do when you get up on the first weekend of turkey season and it's 35 degrees outside? Well, you put on more clothes, grab your swamp boots and maybe a boat to get to that field those thunder chickens have been strutting in. It's going to be fun.
The Mid-Missouri Outlaws are ready to come back home to the Mathewson Exhibition Center this Saturday, April 20. The Outlaws will take on their new and only in-state rival, the Kansas City Renegades. The Renegades come into this game 3-2 with wins over the Oklahoma Defenders, Wichita Wild and Kansas Koyotes in the last three weeks. The Outlaws have yet to win a game, but are looking to build momentum after last week’s loss 36-34 to Oklahoma.
No matter how old your are, everyone can appreciate some good '80s rock music. The '80s tribute band Members Only will play at Dukes and Boots on Friday, April 26, and you have the chance to win free tickets.
To get you ready for the show, here are some of the best '80s guilty pleasure songs.
Kids, Earth Day is coming up on April 22. Everybody likes the Earth, that's where we keep all our stuff. So every now and then, people like to get together and give a little thanks to the good old Earth with a designated day. So how and where can you celebrate locally, and pitch in a bit? Why, read on, brave individual!
Pettis County, the City of Sedalia and the Region F Solid Waste District will be sponsoring a Household Hazardous Waste Pickup on Saturday, April 13 from 8 a.m. to noon at the west campgrounds on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. Those bringing waste to the pickup are asked to enter the campground off Clarendon Road.
Here's a look at the weekend events!
I've started my blog posts with the weather every day for the last two months. I thought the crazy weather changes were over and done with. I can deal with a 15-20 degree temperature change, this IS Missouri. But come on, from the 70s to the 30s? This is just ridiculous.
A case study conducted by a group of students from UCM is exploring the possibility of building a brand new outdoor venue in Warrensburg, and you have the chance to weigh in on how the venue will be used.
