What Is Missouri’s Favorite Holiday Treat?

We're two weeks away from Christmas. You're looking at Thanksgiving in the rear view mirror and now wondering what to fix for dessert for the big Christmas dinner. We may have some insight to help you decide.

A survey was taken with 1,000 people to find the favorite holiday treat for every state. Now, for the nation, the winner was pumpkin pie, with eggnog coming in second place and believe it or not, peppermint bark landing in the third spot.

But that doesn't mean that the voters in Missouri concurred. So what did the folks that took the survey in the Show-Me state come up with as their favorite?

According to an article on Offers.com, pumpkin pie was also the favorite in Missouri. In fact, across the country the pumpkin pie option won with a 37% vote. Other offerings included eggnog (20%) and then peppermint bark. (13%) Other top choices in other states included the following:

• Gingerbread – 9%
• Candy cane – 9%
• Fruit cake – 5%
• Pecan Pie – 1%
• Other – 6%
