A Warsaw woman suffered minor injuries after a vehicle she was in struck a deer in the roadway Monday evening in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2012 Ford, driven by 51-year-old Jeffrey A. Jennings of Warsaw, was on Missouri 7, south of the West Dam Access Road at 6 p.m., when a deer entered the roadway.

A passenger in the Ford, Tammy M. Jennings, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the encounter, suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

The Ford had moderate damage, but was driven from the scene.
