Warsaw Man Killed in Benton County Rollover

A Warsaw man was killed in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday evening in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2011 Ford Fusion driven by 45-year-old George M. Cecil of Warsaw, was on Highway MM, east of Paradise Road at 7:08 p.m., when the vehicle exited the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned, ejecting the driver.

Cecil was pronounced dead at 7:40 p.m. by Benton County Coroner Weston Miller. Cecil was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Ford was totaled.

Benton County Deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
