Warrensburg Teen Killed, Three injured in JoCo Rollover
A Warrensburg teen was killed and three others injured in a rollover accident that occurred Friday night in Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2004 Dodge Truck, driven by 18-year-old Turner R. George of Warrensburg, was on SW 271 Road, north of SW 1200 Road just before 9 p.m., when the driver lost control while accelerating through a curve, and the truck left the roadway, struck a ditch, overturned and struck a fence.
George was pronounced dead at the scene at 10 p.m., by Deputy Coroner Noah Harness. George was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
Injured were Wylie M. Grant, 18, of Chilhowee, Timothy N. Toole, 19, of Centerview, and a 17-year-old male from Chilhowee. All received minor injuries and all three refused treatment on scene.
Johnson County Deputies assisted the three Troopers on scene.
The Dodge was totaled and towed by Tip Top Towing.
