Warrensburg Man Killed, Two Warsaw Residents Injured
A Warrensburg man was killed and two Warsaw residents were injured in a head-on collision that occurred early Sunday morning in Henry County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2008 Smart Car, driven by 34-year-old Kristopher T. Wilson of Warrensburg, was on Missouri 7, east of NE 681 Road around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, when the vehicle crossed the center of the roadway and into the path of an eastbound 2008 Ford Expedition, driven by 70-year-old Jeffrey A. Milam of Warsaw. The Smart Car and the Ford Expedition struck head-on.
After impact, both vehicles traveled off the south side of the roadway and came to rest.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene by Henry County Assistant Coroner Paul Abbott at 1:50 a.m. The body was taken to Consalus Funeral Home.
Jeffrey Milam suffered minor injuries and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital by Golden Valley EMS.
A passenger in the Smart Car, 38-year-old Carly M. Milam of Warsaw, suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to St. Luke's on the Plaza by Life Flight Eagle Air Ambulance. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed.
Henry County Deputies assisted the Troopers on scene.
