Wednesday (November 11)  may be a Holiday with Veterans Day, but Mother Nature may bring some good storms into play. According to the National Weather Service thunderstorms are likely on Wednesday with a good chance for some severe thunderstorms. There may be sustantial severe winds along some large hail possible in these storms. We could even have an isolated tornado embedded within the bowing line segments.

While the patterns could change, Sedalia/Pettis County EMA Director David Clippert is paying attention to these possible storms and issued this statement.

We are in an Enhanced Risk for severe weather. An Enhanced Risk means that numerous severe storms are possible or a 30% chance of some type of severe weather. That does include the possibility of isolated tornados.

Looking a little ways out, the risk of that severe weather could start as early as 7 AM and will continue through the afternoon hours. So anytime between those hours we could see a severe storm. This will change over the next 2 days, so stay tuned for more information.

We'll continue to follow along with our storm updates with Weathereye through the day on Better Country KIX 105, 92.3 Bob-FM and Newstalk 1050 KSIS.
