The Performing Arts Series at the University of Central Missouri will host pianist Thomas Schumacher in a concert, “Eastman at Central 2015,” at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 9, in Hart Recital Hall. The event is part of the Guest Artist Series sponsored by the UCM Department of Music.  In addition to his concert performance, Schumacher will teach a master class from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, March 10, in Hart Recital Hall.

The University of Central Missouri Department of Theatre and Dance will present its mainstage performance of Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas March 4-8 in the James L. Highlander Theatre.  John Wilson, professor of theatre is director for the production. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. March 4-7 with a 2 p.m. matinee planned for Sunday, March 8.

The 12th-ranked Central Missouri Mules used a 22-0 run early in the second half and held Missouri Western to 15 second half points as they cruised to a 64-42 win in the final regular season home game. The win improves UCM's record to 23-4 overall and 14-4 in MIAA play and secures a top two seed in the MIAA Tournament and a bye to the quartfinals in Kansas City on Thursday, March 5.

With 32 seconds left in regulation with the game deadlocked at 78-78, Jennies senior Breonna Embray hit the go-ahead and eventual game-winning three-pointer to lift the Jennies over Missouri Western, 82-78 at the Multipurpose Building.  

UCM will close out its regular season basketball schedule at Northwest Missouri this Saturday, February 28 with a 1:30 p.m. tip-off for the Jennies and a 3:30 start for the Mules.
