The UCM Department of Theatre and Dance received several honors at the Kennedy Center American College Region V Theatre Festival in Minneapolis Jan. 19-25.  Six faculty members and 26 UCM students were among the more than 1,400 faculty and students from 80 universities in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota at the festival.  A UCM student won first place in the National/Regional Costume Design competition and will receive an all-expense-paid trip to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in April for the national festival.

Central Missouri had two ranked wrestlers in the latest Division II Wrestling Coaches Association Poll released Wednesday. Frank Cagnina (149) kept his No. 2 ranking, while Justin Forrest (133) was No. 7. Central Missouri also received votes as a team, but did not make the top 20 teams.

 The first regular-season USTFCCCA (United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) were released today and for the first time in team history, the Jennies track team is ranked No. 1. UCM's 157.36 points sit atop the women's poll. The Mules are also well represented, earning 79.26 points, and coming in at No. 7.

 The Mules and the Jennies are off until next Saturday when they travel to Joplin, Missouri to take on Missouri Southern.  The Jennies with a 1:30 p.m. tipoff and the Mules will begin their game at 3:30.
